At DTLAWYERS – Societate Civilă Profesională de Avocați (hereinafter referred to as “the Firm”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), integrity and confidentiality are the foundations of our practice. As a professional legal entity specialized in complex areas such as Commercial Law, Public Procurement, and European Funds, we handle all information with the highest level of professional secrecy and security.
We are committed to protecting your personal data in strict accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 and the applicable Romanian legislation. This Privacy Policy outlines our transparent practices regarding the collection, use, and safeguarding of your information when you visit our website https://dtlawyers.ro.

We adhere to the principle of data minimization. We only collect the personal information that is strictly necessary to provide our legal services, ensure website security, and improve our digital presence.
When you interact with us through our contact forms, we collect the following information:
Data Collected: Name, Email Address, Phone Number, and the content of your inquiry.
Purpose: To evaluate your legal needs, provide preliminary legal advice, and manage our professional relationship.
Legal Basis: Processing is necessary for taking steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Unlike many websites, we prioritize your privacy by using self-hosted analytics.
The Privacy Edge: All analytical data is stored exclusively on our own servers in Romania/EU. No data is shared with or sold to third-party providers like Google or Meta.
Anonymization Protocol: We utilize a hashing/anonymization process for IP addresses. This means that while we can see that a user visited the site, we cannot identify who that user is.
Purpose: To understand website performance, popular legal topics, and user flow to improve our services.
Legal Basis: Legitimate interest in optimizing our Website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
To ensure the integrity of our communication channels and prevent malicious automated submissions:
Data Processed: Data submitted through the contact form (IP address, user agent, name, and email).
Processing Detail: This information is processed by the Akismet service (Automattic Inc.) to filter out spam. You may consult their privacy policy here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.
Legal Basis: Legitimate interest in maintaining website security and preventing fraud (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
LiteSpeed Cache: This tool is used for speed optimization. It creates static copies of our pages to reduce load times. It does not process or store any personal data of our visitors.
Loginizer: As a legal firm, our website’s security is paramount. Loginizer monitors IP addresses during login attempts to detect and block “brute force” attacks.
Legal Basis: Legitimate interest in ensuring the security of the Firm’s digital infrastructure and protecting client-related data potentially accessible via the Website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We do not store your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or to comply with legal, regulatory, or internal policy requirements.
General Inquiries: If you contact us for information but do not eventually enter into a legal services agreement, your data will be retained for a period of 12 months from the last communication. This allows us to maintain continuity should you choose to follow up on your initial inquiry.
Pre-contractual/Potential Client Data: If the inquiry involves potential legal representation, we may retain the data for up to 3 years (the general statute of limitations in Romania) to protect the Firm against potential professional liability claims or to prove the existence of a conflict of interest check.
Client Data: If you become a client, data is retained for the duration of the contract plus a period of 10 years for archiving purposes, as required by the Romanian Law on the National Archives and professional regulations for the legal profession.
Since all analytical data processed by WP Statistics is fully anonymized at the point of collection (through IP masking), this data no longer constitutes “personal data” under GDPR.
We retain these anonymized, aggregated statistics indefinitely for long-term website performance analysis and business development planning.
Security Logs: IP addresses logged for security reasons (e.g., failed login attempts recorded by Loginizer) are retained for 30 to 90 days to identify patterns of malicious activity.
Cache Data: Temporary files created by LiteSpeed Cache are purged regularly (manually or automatically) and do not contain permanent records of visitor activity.
At DTLAWYERS, we believe in full transparency. As a data subject, the General Data Protection Regulation grants you a specific set of rights regarding your personal information.
Right of Access (Art. 15): You have the right to obtain confirmation from us as to whether or not your personal data is being processed, and, where that is the case, access to a copy of that data.
Right to Rectification (Art. 16): You have the right to request the correction of any inaccurate or incomplete personal data we hold about you.
Right to Erasure / “Right to be Forgotten” (Art. 17): You may request the deletion of your data when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or if you withdraw your consent (where consent was the legal basis). Note: This right is subject to our legal obligations to retain certain data for professional liability or archiving.
Right to Restriction of Processing (Art. 18): You have the right to “block” or suppress further use of your information in certain circumstances (e.g., while we verify the accuracy of your data).
Right to Data Portability (Art. 20): You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format to move it to another service provider.
Right to Object (Art. 21): You have the right to object to the processing of your data based on our “legitimate interests,” including any profiling.
Right to Withdraw Consent: Where our processing is based on your consent (e.g., via CookieYes), you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. This can be done instantly by clicking the cookie settings icon on the corner of your screen.
If you believe that our processing of your personal data infringes GDPR, you have the statutory right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Romania, the relevant body is:
The National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP)
Address: 28-30 G-ral. Gheorghe Magheru Bld., District 1, Bucharest.
Website: www.dataprotection.ro
The confidentiality of the attorney-client relationship begins with the security of our digital infrastructure. We implement robust technical and organizational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk, in accordance with Art. 32 of the GDPR.
Our Website is secured by an SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) Certificate. This ensures that all data transmitted between your browser and our server (such as messages sent through our contact forms) is encrypted and protected against interception by unauthorized third parties.
To ensure the availability and integrity of your data, we utilize an automated backup system powered by JetBackup.
Frequency: We perform full daily backups of the Website’s database and files.
Redundancy: Backups are stored in secure, encrypted environments to ensure that in the event of a technical failure or cyber incident, we can restore the Website and your data with minimal downtime.
We actively monitor and restrict access to the Website’s administrative interface. Using Loginizer, we implement:
IP Rate Limiting: Automatic blocking of IP addresses that attempt multiple unauthorized login attempts.
Brute Force Mitigation: Protection against automated software trying to gain access to our backend systems.
While primarily a performance tool, LiteSpeed Cache contributes to our security by optimizing how the Website handles traffic. By serving static versions of pages, it reduces the server’s vulnerability to certain types of Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, ensuring the Website remains accessible to those who need legal assistance.
In the unlikely event of a data breach, we have internal procedures in place to assess the risk and, where required by GDPR, notify the National Supervisory Authority (ANSPDCP) within 72 hours and the affected data subjects.
We have appointed a dedicated internal team to oversee our data protection practices. If you have any questions regarding this Privacy Policy, the way we handle your information, or if you wish to exercise any of your rights under the GDPR, please do not hesitate to reach out.
We are committed to resolving any inquiries promptly and transparently.
